We highly recommend downloading the Facebook Local App. This app shows every event happening around Atlanta today and every day.
Restaurants
There are lots of restaurants within walking distance.
Grocery Stores
The Grant Park Market is within a 10-minute walk. This is a great place to pick-up last-minute items. Kroger is within a 10-minute drive. Kroger is a good place for bulk shopping.
Recreation
We highly recommend the Martin Luther King Jr Recreation and Aquatic Center. It costs $5/person/day.
Attractions
We are located on the southeast side of town, 2 blocks from Grant Park, and less than a mile to the entertainment district downtown. Zoo Atlanta is at the other end of Grant Park. Margret Mitchel and Bobby Jones are buried in Oakland Cemetery four blocks away. Martin Luther King Jr’s house and memorial is less than a mile. The city changing Atlanta BeltLine is wraps around us less than a mile away. It is very walkable but portions of it are not paved yet.
Transportation
King Memorial Station is a 15-minute walk from the house. There are lots of electric Scooters from Bird and Lime normally on Cherokee and Memorial. You can normally get an Uber or Lyft for $5 to $10 anywhere in downtown and midtown.
Thank you!!!
Have a safe journey home, and we hope to see you again soon.
